I was surfing this morning and realized that I haven't posted for over 2 weeks. So I thought that I should at least post something.
News about the kids, Ian did well on a Math test this week. It was the first time that he brought home a book to actually study. It was really weird for me to think that he used the term "study." He came home yesterday and said that it was easy and he thinks he did well. Kylee is reading more and more everyday. She overslept yesterday and didn't wake her up instead I decided to just drive them to school so that they could rest some. As we were driving, we stopped at the railroad tracks and she said, "STOP, what does that spell Mom?" I told her to make the sound of each letter and she did then said, "That says stop." I wanted to cry but didn't. This morning she looked down at her shirt and sounded out the word lost on her shirt without even asking for help. I can't believe that leaps and bounds that she is taking from just 1 month of school. She told me the other day that she never goes out of the classroom and works with a mom. That is good because that would mean she needs extra help, that is what I do a couple times a month, help the "lost" kids. I am so glad that she loves school the way that she does and always wants to go back the next day. Cory has finished his first class of college, we will get the grade in a couple of weeks. His next class starts on October 1st and he has already started doing the homework. I couldn't be prouder of my 3 students that live under my roof. I guess my teaching degree is coming in more handy at home than in an actual classroom. Now if I could just get the baby I watch to crawl so she could follow me around instead of cry when I leave the room, life would be perfect. That's all for this time, tune in soon for another episode. . . .
